ABOUT
George Ehinger has been proud to call Saratoga Springs home for two decades. He was introduced to our great city by his wife, Tamie, a native of Saratoga County and he immediately fell in love with all things Saratoga—the history, the architecture, the vibrant downtown and the civic pride that permeates every neighborhood.
Over the years, he’s built a career leading businesses across different industries and around the world. George knows how to bring people together, solve tough problems, and move good ideas forward.
He’s also passionate about giving back. He currently serves as Treasurer of the SoBro Conservancy, sits on the board of the Saratoga Springs Rotary Education Foundation, and mentors local students through Saratoga Sponsor-A-Scholar. He’s a former board member of Saratoga PLAN and has always believed that strong communities are built by neighbors who pitch in. George lives here in Saratoga Springs with his wife Tamie and their daughter, a proud student at Maple Avenue Middle School.
WHY I'M RUNNING

When I moved to Saratoga Springs 20 years ago, I was struck by how partisan local politics seemed, especially for a city where so many of us share common goals. We all care about our schools, our roads, our downtown, and the overall quality of life here. We live side by side and take pride in calling this community home.
And yet, city government has remained deeply divided along party lines. That division often gets in the way of real problem-solving. But it doesn’t have to be that way. I’ve long admired leaders who rise above partisanship and no one has done that better than Matt Veitch. When I learned he wouldn’t be seeking re-election, I felt compelled to step up and continue that tradition of thoughtful, moderate, service-driven leadership.
When I was offered the endorsement of the One Saratoga line in addition to the Republican line, I saw it as a clear sign: this campaign isn’t about political labels. It’s about putting Saratoga Springs first.
I’m running because I believe public service should be about serving the public, not a party. I believe we can solve complex challenges by listening, understanding, researching the facts, and finding creative, cost-effective solutions that earn broad support.
With a background in economics and experience growing businesses, I care deeply about spending responsibly, but I also believe in the value of smart investments that make Saratoga stronger for today and the long term.
